TOUR: HIGHLIGHTS OF PERU 14 DAYS

This 14 day motorcycle tour takes in all the varied sights that have made Peru famous, from the lofty Bolivian capital of La Paz to the “riddle in the desert” the Nazca Lines, this ride will astound you. Off the bikes for a day we shall walk on water as we visit the floating islands of Uros on Lake Titkaka, the worlds highest navigatable lake.

We shall ride into the Andes crossing the 4319 metre pass of La Raya on our way to the Incan capital of Cusco. A spectacular ride will take us deep into the Incan culture as we visit the Sacred Valley, stopping off at numerous Incan ruins before catching a train to the “jewel in the Incan crown” Machu Picchu. Getting off road we shall ride the stunning high plateau amongst snow capped volcanoes and cross a 5000 metre pass, (we shall view the mountain where the Amazon starts its journey), before descending to one on the worlds largest canyons at Colca to view giant Condors. Our motorcycle tour shall visit the stunning “white city” of Arequipa before riding the incredible coastal road, (as featured in the BMW R 1200 GS brouchure 2006), on our way to the Nazca Lines, where we board our planes for a great view of them. The motorbike sector of the tour ends, a bus ride will see us through to Lima.
