Brazil, Argentina, Chile & Bolivia: a ride of superlatives that has to be ridden to be believed
This motorcycle tour is a ride with a difference. We begin with an included flight from Rio to Foz and visiting the world’s greatest waterfalls of Foz do Iguaçu before riding across the Argentine Chaco region bound for the beautiful Salta. Crossing the Andes we enter Chile at the remote Paso Sico border and ride into the stark yet beautiful landscapes of the Atacama desert, before arriving at the desert oasis town of San Pedro de Atacama. Leaving San Pedro we begin what surely must be one of the worlds greatest motorcycle journeys as we enter the wild and remote landscape of the 12,000/7500 square kilometer/mile Salar de Uyuni. We ride past multicolored lagoons fringed with flocks of rare James Flamingoes, fantastic rock formations and islands dotted with cacti before riding into Uyuni 3 days later. We will visit the world’s highest city of Potosi with its still working ancient mine before crossing the high passes of the Altiplano and entering La Paz.

Ride profile: 70% paved, some sections can be potholed and narrow, some can be heavily trafficked. 30% of this ride is on dirt with one day spent on hard salt, there are also sections of dirt that have loose gravel and can be rutted with some very small sections of sand and a small number of shallow creek crossings.
Ride days: 11 (the bikes are also available for personal use on non-ride days, no extra cost)
Accommodation: 18 nights & 1 bonus night. 90% hotels (3 nights wild camps).
