Every year Calne, Wiltshire in the United Kingdom hosts the largest free motorcycle meet in Europe. Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts come from far and wide to attend, listen to the bands, visit the stalls, support the sponsors and have a great weekend camping with a bunch of like-minded enthusiasts.
This year our very own Jack Wilkins attended with the Compass Expeditions stand and had a good chat to several of the visitors about our Motorcycle Tours and Motorbike Rentals that we have throughout the world. There was great attendance and the weather was not too bad with warm weather on the Saturday of the show (which was a relief for those camping!).
Jack said that there was a lot of interest in our Australia Motorcycle Rental options, London to Magadan: Road of Bones and also quite a few interested in our new Europe to the Mongol Steppe adventure motorbike tour which travels from the Garmisch BMW Motorrad Days to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia that we’ll be running in 2014.
Our stand was next door to Sam Manicom the lifelong adventurer who has quickly become one of the most well known Motorcycle Travel Writers with stories of his trips through Africa, Latin America, Asia and the United States. He’s a great guy and his stories are fantastic so Jack had a great time chatting with him about life on the road and some of the adventures. You can find out more about Sam and his stories but visiting his website here – http://www.sam-manicom.com
We hope you all had a fantastic time and we’d like to thank all those who attended and who came along and spoke to us about Motorcycle Tours and Motorcycle Rentals and look forward to seeing more of you in the future.
